Volunteers

First of all we would like to thanks those that are already volunteering for BrasilFest, or are already committed to help on the day of the Festival.photo volunteers

We still need a few volunteers to help us run this wonderful free, family-oriented Brazilian festival – unique and only in the Pacific Northwest.

Booth Coordinator Assistant: Number of positions:  2. in this position will assist the Coordinator to sign spaces for vendors and supervises the tear-down.

Position hours:

9am – 11am (Set Up)
7:00pm – 8:00pm (Tear-Down)


“Baianas in the Field”:  (Women wearing traditional costumes from Northeast of Brazil distributing BrasilFest programs and collecting donations). Number of Positions: 4. Programs, Information and Donations.

Position hours:

1:00pm – 2:00pm


Stage Manager/Emcee: Number of Positions: 4. This position helps the artists to be on schedule, and make a short introduction of them to the audience

STAGE (Mural Amphitheater):

Shift 1: 11:30am – 3:30pm
Shift 2: 3:30pm – 7:00pm

STAGE (Armory/Center House):  Number of Positions: 4

Shift 1: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Shift 2: 3:00pm – 5:00pm


Signs: Signs directing people to diverse activities in the campus. Number of Positions: 3 minimum.

Position hours:  9am – 11am


Children’s Activities: Four more people to help on the table with mask making and providing material for kids drawing and color.

Position Hours:
Shift 1: 10am (setup table)
Shift 2: 11:30am – 2:30pm
Shift 3: 2:30pm – 5:30pm


Workshops Coordinator:  Number of positions: 4. Help on track time of the workshops leaders helping them to be on schedule, and make a short introduction of them to the audience.

Position hours – ROOM A (Films)

Shift 1: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Shift 2:   3:00pm – 5:00pm

Position hours – ROOM H (Talks)

Shift 1: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Shift 2:  3:00pm – 5:00pm


Fisher Pavilion Rooftop Coordinator: Number of Positions: 2. Coordinate the Roda de Capoeira.

Position hours: 3:00pm – 5:00pm


Volunteers Support: Number of positions: 6. Help to provide water for volunteers and stages.

Position hours:

Shift 1: 12pm – 3:00pm
Shift 2: 3:30pm – 6:30pm
Shift 3: 6pm -7pm


Documentation: Number of positions: 3. Photographer/Videographer/ Recording Engineer to cover the festival.
